    TLS won't shake hands

I got the following error message when trying to connect to the wifi at the library: "Error performing TLS handshake: Could not negotiate a supported cipher suite" Could anyone please tell me how to fix this?

I got this to work using firefox. Specifically how I did it was last year is vague. If I recall, it has to do with responses from the server causing a popup from Firefox.

Thank you Leslie. Do you think this means that I have some settings that prevents responses from poping up?

I am not an network person, but where I had a similar problem, with tls asking for connection and it failing, I ended up just starting firefox. A popup from firefox responded to the tls connection request. At the time, I was using my laptop with Fedora in a public place.

In the wpa_supplicant man page, it says

The easiest way to debug problems, and to get debug log for bug reports, is to start wpa_supplicant on foreground with debugging enabled:

    wpa_supplicant -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -iwlan0 -d
When I was having problems with wpa_supplicant, I submitted a bug report, and Red Hat staff asked me to turn on debugging and send them the log, and they were able to identify the problem right away, which in my case was a bug, which they corrected.

Thank you, Leslie. Using firefox instead of the "wireless access point" window that popped up by default worked fine.
