Which is better "Shotcut" or "Pititvi"

    Hi.

Which is better: Pititivi or Shotcut, as video editor ?

I mean by better the following:

    1) have more editing features

    2) support more formates types

    3) more stable

My be one of them better than other in one of these filds but the other is better than 1st in other field .... For that can you kindly compare between these 2 program in each of these 3 fields separately ?

Shotcut is much better than Pitivi ! It was my reading to old articles which led me to this question ! Many of points of critics against Shotcut had been fixed & remaining in the way to be addressed !

I'm highly recommend this program: features rich + stable + easy to learn !

I always end up using Kdenlive, since it seems to be the least buggy and crummy of the lot.

I agree with you that Kdenlive have a lot of features. But do you agree that these features are very very advanced ? You need a lot of time to learn how to use it for simple function !

We need something at midle between beginner & advanced + stable. I think Shotcut is O.K. It need for short time to learn it. To me I blocked infront of it for only 1/2 hr, then found my way & started to use all it's options ....

What are your openion: Shotcut better or Pitivi ? Just select from these 2.

Well, the easiest is iMovie on a Macintosh, but even if I use that, I still sometimes end up using kdenlive on Linux to transcode the resulting clip.
