Anaconda and Gnome are in conflict over keyboard

I work with two keyboard layouts ca and fr (Canadian French). With Anaconda, I setup fr as first layout and ca as the second. (Occasionally on a reinstall I will have us and fr. with fr as primary.
The keyboard is the same physical device for both layouts. The difference between the two keyboard layouts is the relocation of some characters to other keys, and the ability, with the fr layout to enter accented letters and some symbols.

Recently, when I boot Gnome after having used anaconda to setup the 2 layouts, the space character is permanently set to windows+space. In other words, the space bar does not issue a space character, but does a keyboard layout switch. Within Gnome, if I hold the shift key, or alt key, spacing is normal.

If I am in direct terminal mode (ctl+alt+f4 followed by logon), for example. (not in Gnome), the space bar produced the space character.

I do have dconf-editor installed and I have used it for some other keyboard issue.

If you can help me solve this problem, it will most likely solve other problems that I have with Gnome and two language support.

Re: Anaconda and Gnome are in conflict over keyboard

I solved my problem. I reinstalled the system, I left alone Anaconda's keyboard spoke do that Anaconda installed one keyboard (US). After rebooting the installed system, I replaced the default keyboard with my two (ca and fr) layouts.
