    Unhappy Problems installing Fedora 26

Hi everyone. I'm trying to instal Fedora 26 on my computer, and it doesn't work! First of all, sorry for my bad english. I've downloaded the ISO from the official website, and I've burned it with UltraISO. After booting the usb I get this screen:

    vesamenu.c32: Not a COM32R image
    boot:

If I press tab, the options are linux, check, vesa, memtest, local, returntomain

I have tried with linux, check and vesa, but it gets stuck here:

I don't know what to do. I have also tried to burn the image with Unetbootin and LiLi, but then I can't even type, I only get a cursor.

    Thanks everyone.

possibly a bad download then, did you at least check it for errors before writing to bootable media?

    see the verification instructions here:

Yes I have verified it, and I have downloaded it twice. But still don't work.

EDIT: I have just created a VM on windows and there it runs correctly, I don't know why trying to install the same image on my computer it doesn't work. What can I do?

Wait, did you burn the DVD or are you using USB stick?

Try one of these methods for USB: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_t...d_use_Live_USB

And more problems, installation has finished, but grub seems to be not working. It enters to rescue mode and says error: no such partition
    What can I do?

    Re: Problems installing Fedora 26

Two things spring to mind - make sure that the downloaded image is intact.

Generate the SHA256 checksum of the iso:
    Code:
    sha256sum TheIsoIDownloaded.iso
    Verify it against:
    https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fed...86_64-CHECKSUM

^ If they don't match, then download it again - I would suggest using wget or curl.

Second possibility is that you have a corrupt mbr on your disk, in which case I would suggest writing zeros over the mbr and generating a new partition scheme.

From within the live environment, open a terminal and elevate yourself with "sudo su".

Run lsblk find the device name of the disk you want to install Fedora on:
    lsblk
Zero the mbr, /dev/sdX is the device name of your drive:
    Code:
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=446 count=1
Generate a new GPT partition scheme:
    Code:
    gdisk /dev/sdX
    Type "o"
    "Y"
    Type "w"
    "Y"
Reboot and install Fedora again from the usb drive.

    One other thing to check…

Make sure UEFI is disabled, get into your bios for that… Put your machine in, "Legacy Mode"…

    Hope that helps… :-)

Where can I find UEFI? The only thing related to legacy mode I can find is: Legacy USB support.
My bios is American Megatrends v2.61

    Re: Problems installing Fedora 26

your system doesn't have UEFI firmware, so there won't be a setting to switch, please disregard that misleading advice
