It looks like you're missing dependencies.

Make sure you install the repository.

    Code:
    sudo curl -o /etc/yum.repos.d/mssql-server.repo https://packages.microsoft.com/config/rhel/7/mssql-server.repo
    And try using dnf.

    Code:
    sudo dnf update
    Code:
    sudo dnf -y install mssql-server

Download https://packages.microsoft.com/rhel/...5-1.x86_64.rpm and localinstall the rpm

    Code:
    sudo yum localinstall mssql-server-14.0.900.75-1.x86_64.rpm
    Check for missing dependencies

    Code:
    rpm -qpR mssql-server-14.0.900.75-1.x86_64.rpm
    Complete setup with mssql-conf setup

    Code:

Now you have to resolve missing dependencies.

    For example, install openssl:

    Code:
    Fedora 21/RHEL7:
         sudo yum install openssl

    Fedora 22 or higher:
         sudo dnf install openssl

you may have to rpm -ihv --force install one of the older packages.
however, don't quote me on that, I am not even here. In fact all what you read above is a cloud of ether.
