    Need A New Laptop

My old Laptop is ready to die and I need to replace it soon. I can't afford to spend $800 right away, so I've been tempted to pickup one of those 11.6" ultra portables, for about $200.00.

The processors look pretty disappointing. The one's I have been considering are either Intel Celeron Dual Cores or Atom Quad Cores. How bad is the performance on these? I basically need it for banking, browsing and my VOIP apps.

I really just need the browser to be fast...

Also, these have the OS stored on some kind or flash memory. Will this be comparable to an SSD, or slow like an SD card. Will I need an external USB drive for file storage, since the Flash Drive the OS is on will only be about 32GB.

    Thanks

    PS., any recommendations?

It's in the US, though, I don't know how much shipping would be.

I have an asus zenbook flip (ux360) and it works great with linux. Batterylife is also almost as good as windows with tlp and powertop.

Which is useful info when someone googles Fedora ux360, but, I suspect you missed the part in the original post where they mentioned budget.
