    systemd permission denied

    trying to run couchdb from systemd => failing on permission denied

    from cli sudo /var/lib/couchdb/rel/couchdb/bin/couchdb => works fine

    /etc/systemd/system/couchdb.service

    [Unit]
    Description=couchdb
    After=network.target
    [Service]
    Type=simple
    User=couchdb
    Group=couchdb (also tried wheel)
    ExecStart=/var/lib/couchdb/rel/couchdb/bin/couchdb
    Restart=always
    [Install]
    WantedBy=multi-user.target

    chown -R couchdb:couchdb /var/lib/couchdb/rel
    => checked with ls -l all routes show couchdb as owner
    even declared data folder as couchdb owner

    couchdb group set as wheel => checked wheel users, couchdb shows as wheel user

    sudo systemctl enable couchdb.service => set link
    sudo systemctl start couchdb.service => fail

    tried using sudo systemctl daemon-reload to make sure => still resulted in permission denied fail
