So Lightman, YOU'RE THE GUY!!! We had set it up for a maximum of 3 people to access the Forum at a time and you were #4, thereby crashing it.
    .

Heh. Won't be the first time.

    Hopefully, this gets resolved soon.

Duly forked. We're undergoing a transition (I hope) and when it's complete, things should actually improve significantly.

It's at times like this when I go for the Oreo's
    - or beer.

I guess that's actually an option to break away and start from scratch. Problem is, it's a massive undertaking the run a forum and finance it. there may be light at the end of the tunnel though as bob alluded to so let's be patient a little longer.

(munch, munch, slurp) - Thanks for the Oreo/beer solution! Well, to give a heads-up to our folks, the Forum was sold earlier this year and apparently the tweaks that were done to it by our former owner gave the new server folks fits and they're now trying to make changes. Looks like they've just found the root cause and hopefully we'll be stable in the future. Naturally, there's more to the story, but that's what I can disclose for now.

Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. One winds up patching because redoing the entire thing risks downtime, and then one can't find the right packages because the base system ages, and so on.
Thanks to the new owners for trying to fix it, and thanks to the old owner(s)? who kept it as a valuable Fedora resource for many years.
