Wayland, Nvidia Drivers and Fedora 25 Query

    Hi All,

My query is that Wayland was being used after a fresh install of Fedora 25.

Once I installed the Nvidia proprietary drivers it seemed to revert back to X11.

    Should this be happening?

    Thanks in advance?

Re: Wayland, Nvidia Drivers and Fedora 25 Query

apparently the nvidia drivers don't understand Wayland and need X11. all driver names and kernel modules have 'x11' in their name... [https://rpmfusion.org/Howto/nVidia]

after making a mess with nvidia on F25, I erased all and use default nouveau drivers and Wayland -- no more issues and fine graphics
    Fedora 26 -- i3, LXDE
