WIFI & rtl8723 chip
Just installed on my new laptop f25 in dual boot with W10.
The problem is with the WIFI. Networkmanager says it is connected, but no internet access.
The same system under W10 is ok.
here are what I've collected that could help to give me some clues.
$ ifconfig

Re: WIFI & rtl8723 chip
Everything you post would appear to confirm your wifi is working just fine and connected to your access point "Bbox-CD8C834C". Maybe the problem lies there, or beyond. Is this a router/modem combo, or just a router with an externally attached modem? If the router is working OK (which it appears to be) but your modem is off or malfunctioning, then you would have a good connection the access point but "no internet".
Can you ping an outside domain name?
Code:
ping -c4 google.com
Can you physically see your access point router and/or modem? If you can, check the status LED lights. Sometimes they can tell you if you have internet or not. My netgear router LAN light goes to amber from green if the externally connected dsl modem is turned off or looses sync with the dsl signal.

Re: WIFI & rtl8723 chip
I have found a solution at looking to the Tx-Power value of iwconfig command:
$ iwconfig
no wireless extensions.
wlo1 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:"Bbox-CD8C834C"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: 64:7C:34:2B
9:4C
Bit Rate=72.2 Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm
Retry short limit:7 RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality=36/70 Signal level=-74 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:61 Missed beacon:0
enp2s0 no wireless extensions.
If I compare to an other system on my desk, I get this:
$ iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.
wlo1 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:"Bbox-CD8C834C"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: 64:7C:34:2B
9:4C
Bit Rate=72.2 Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm
Retry short limit:7 RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality=70/70 Signal level=-26 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:4 Missed beacon:0
enp2s0 no wireless extensions.
In my case the solution is to create the file /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8723be.conf with the following content:
options rtl8723be ant_sel=1
then type the following commands:
$ rmmod rtl8723be
$ modprobe rtl8723be
With this change I get this result:
$wconfig
lo no wireless extensions.
wlo1 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:"Bbox-CD8C834C"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: 64:7C:34:2B
9:4C
Bit Rate=72.2 Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm
Retry short limit:7 RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality=70/70 Signal level=-26 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
enp2s0 no wireless extensions.
