    slow speed with epel mirrors

I'm trying to create my own local epel repo using rsync but the download is slow - about 100kb/s. I don't get this problem with other repos, I usually get around 2Mb/s which is my broadband top speed.
I found a list of epel mirrors here:
    https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mi...-7&arch=x86_64
and I've tried several different mirrors off this list using rsync but still the speed is slow. This is the rsync command I'm using:
    Code:
    /usr/bin/rsync -art -vv --progress --exclude='repo*' --exclude='debug' rsync://<epel-mirror>/7/x86_64/ /path/to/folder
if anyone can help with this then thanks....

I've been getting this kind of ridiculous speeds from normal Fedora mirrors for some days. I'm trying to install a couple of laptops and it's like: walk away and come back later. It took something like 5m just to update the repo lists.
