    Gnome Boxes use device usb make available the device in guest.

    Hi Fedora 25, use gnome boxes. I made a Ubuntu and windows 10 guest. In both when I go into properties in boxes, i can see a thumb drive in devices. It is marked as off when i turn to on it seems fine, but when I go to client OS it is not available at all.

    Anything else I should do?

    Thanks

    Could be SELinux - try the following (as root user)
    Code:
    getsebool virt_use_usb
    If it shows as "off", turn it on
    Code:
    setsebool virt_use_usb on

    when i look in windows, the devices are in device manager, but none of them will work. it says error 10 can not start.

    Posting to this thread with the same exact problem and because no solution is posted.

    I confirmed that:

    Code:
    getsebool virt_use_usb
    Yields:
    Code:
    virt_use_usb --> on

    But neither gnome-boxes nor virtualbox (with extension pack) can "see" attached USBs.
