F24 spacebar doesn't write spaces; zooms text instead

I tried F24 live yesterday. I didn't install because of a very peculiar problem: when I press spacebar, instead of a space character, it would activate the universal access "Large Text" option and increase text size. If I'd press it a second time, it'd increase size further, and after that do nothing (still no spaces). What could be causing this, especially when running live?

Not that this will help but I installed F24 and could not use the terminal to diagnose other problems because the space bar invoked the Gnome help page. Dropping out of the GUI and space acted as expected I wondered if Wayland was involved. After a subsequent install the problem went away. No idea what was different.

I'm running off of a live image and found that both my keyboard and the virtual keyboard (this is a surface pro 3) have the space bar generate some sort of event that's not a space. If I hold shift+space, then I get a space properly. As noted, it works fine on the console.

Experienced similar on a Dell Vostro 15 3000 laptop.

In F24 LIVE space bar enlarges the text size even though there has NEVER been a hot-key combination assigned to this in Universal Access settings.

However, I manage to get it through by using SHIFT + SPACE. Final installation on hard drive doesn't have this issue, fortunately.

I've experienced this too. It is quite odd. I've just added a bugzilla entry: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1361839

Consider contributing anything useful to it.

I noticed something similar today while trying to install Fedora 24. The first time I went to install it, when I setup the User Creation account's Full Name it let me put a space between the first and last name. When I went back to reinstall on the same laptop during the same day, it wouldn't let me put a space between the first and last name as it had earlier.

Incidentally I also noticed that when I did get to put in my first and last name with a space bar it inserted a username with my first initial, last name automatically. Without the space bar working, it only filled in the same name as the Full Name had in it's field.
