You need to do some homework.

    Look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log

It might provide a more specific error.

    Also:

    less /var/log/messages

Type G to go to the end of the file.

    Type ?nvidia

    Hit "n"

This will backtrack through the file for instances of the word nvidia. You might see relevant error messages, such as one telling you that the kernel module could not load.

    Thank you for your reply.
I checked. There is not /var/log/messages object at all.

Here the link for Xorg log file.

Re: F22 Unable to install nVidia drive via .run (error: unable to load the kernel mod

Caveat: I have never installed the nVidia drivers. I just use nouveau.
I think there has been a release since your original post:
    http://www.nvidia.com/download/drive...px/95159/en-us
    Code:
    Version: 352.63
    Release Date: 2015.11.16
    Operating System: Linux 64-bit
    Language: English (US)
    File Size: 74.05 MB
I do not know if it has been incorporated into akmod-nvidia.

As a matter of interest, where did you get the Xorg.0.log from? Is it generated as a consequence of installing the akmod? Normally, all logging is done by the systemd journal, which is why you do not see /var/log/messages, and there is no Xorg.0.log on my system. Read /var/log/README

Re: F22 Unable to install nVidia drive via .run (error: unable to load the kernel mod

    Here what /var/log/README file says:

You are looking for the traditional text log files in /var/log, and
    they are gone?

Here's an explanation on what's going on:

You are running a systemd-based OS where traditional syslog has been
replaced with the Journal. The journal stores the same (and more)
information as classic syslog. To make use of the journal and access
the collected log data simply invoke "journalctl", which will output
the logs in the identical text-based format the syslog files in
/var/log used to be. For further details, please refer to
    journalctl(1).

Alternatively, consider installing one of the traditional syslog
implementations available for your distribution, which will generate
the classic log files for you. Syslog implementations such as
syslog-ng or rsyslog may be installed side-by-side with the journal
and will continue to function the way they always did.

    Thank you!

    Further reading:
    man:journalctl(1)
    man:systemd-journald.service(8)
    man:journald.conf(5)
    http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/the-journal.html
How to extract useful information from it?

And yeap. I have tried new release already. Did not help.

P.S. Nouveau is good (and it worked, when I installed OS), but I need to install drivers from nVidia. So.

Well. you can get the equivalent of /var/log/messages for the current boot with

    # journalctl -b

Then you will have to do the 'Further reading'. Unfortunately, there is a lot of it.

Re: F22 Unable to install nVidia drive via .run (error: unable to load the kernel mod

Before you tried to run the .run file did you remove the nouveau driver? Apparently there is some issue if you don't. I followed these instructions and it worked perfectly: http://www.if-not-true-then-false.co...-nvidia-guide/

    Good luck.

Re: F22 Unable to install nVidia drive via .run (error: unable to load the kernel mod

Yes. I did my steps from this tutorial, btw.
    And uninstalled nouveau before.

Actually I did couple options with/without this driver (with freshly installed system).

    Did not help

    Update:
It is weird. Because nVidia .run installer installed all good. But it cannot run kernel modules.

    nvidia-installer log file '/var/log/nvidia-installer.log'

    installer version: 352.63

    PATH: /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin

I suggest you uninstall those drivers and install kmod-nvidia 355.11 from rpmfusion-nonfree-updates instead.

Hm. On rpmfusion only 304 and 340xx versions: http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfr...r_a.group.html

    There is no 355.11.

I tried to install 355.11 from *.run file. Did not help. Same issue.

Actually, I tried to install all of this
    NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-304.131
    NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-340.93
    NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-340.96
    NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-355.11
    NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-358.16

    No effect.
