    Error Using LiveMedia-Creator

I'm trying out LiveMedia-Creator and hoping it will let me create install ISOs larger than the 4 GB limit of livecd-creator. I am getting this error:

raise CmdlineError(errtxt)#012#012CmdlineError: The following mandatory spokes are not completed:#012Installation Destination

I assume it is because there needs to be something in the kickstart telling it where to install the OS

Any pointers on what I should be looking for in the kickstart docs? I'm not finding anything

    Re: Error Using LiveMedia-Creator

Here is a simple way to do it, as I do it for myself.

sudo gparted # to determine the /dev/sdX for your flash drive.
cd Downloads # or where you have downloaded the ISO(s).
    dd if=The_ISO_I_WANT_TO_PUT_TO_FLASH.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=1M # Use 1meg buffer in place of default 512bytes
    unmount /dev/sdX

That flash drive is ready for booting.

If going to a DVD, I use k3b -- well known to be excellent

    Re: Error Using LiveMedia-Creator

I believe that livecd-creator default iso size is about 4G. You need to change the size of the / partition to 8G, etc.

Here is a copy of the fedora-base-live.ks (beginning part, at least) which is where you make your changes to iso, language, keyboard, etc:

     # fedora-live-base.ks
    # Defines the basics for all kickstarts in the fedora-live branch
    # Does not include package selection (other then mandatory)
    # Does not include localization packages or configuration
    # Does includes "default" language configuration (kickstarts including
    # this template can override these settings)
    lang en_US.UTF-8
    keyboard us
    timezone America/Los_Angeles
    auth --useshadow --passalgo=sha512
    selinux --disabled
    firewall --enabled --service=mdns
    xconfig --startxonboot
    part / --size 8192 --fstype ext4
    services --enabled=NetworkManager,ModemManager --disabled=network,sshd
    %include fedora-repo.ks
I have already changed the size of "/ part" to 8192 megabits (8G). livecd-creator will always stop with an error if you try to create an iso larger than what is configured in the fedora-live-base.ks. If you are not using this file then add these configuration lines (9) to the beginning of your kickstart file. Make sure you place these lines before "%include, %pre, etc."

    Hope this helps.
