    kdeinit5 could not start

    Hi,
I upgraded my fedora 21 to 22, i had kde-4 as an workspace, but after upgrading to fedora 22 I got gnome workspace. When I switch to Plasma I see error kdeinit5 could not start.

Anybody knows how to fix problem or install kde5 instead of gnome

    Thanks

I'm having the same problem. Which packages were missing?

Well I found out it was missing kf5-kwindowsystem, qt5-qtbase-gui, and qt5-qtx11extras. Now I am having a different issue - kde crashes during the loading bar animation, giving various errors (seems to be a jumble of different errors from different processes)

Ended up installing gnome so I can continue to use the computer. Hereś what I get when I run startkde in gnome:

    Code:

Well this is embarrassing... I just skimmed the message I got in gnome and didn't catch the missing file - there was no such message when trying to launch from the terminal login. Here's the list of all the packages that were missing on my system:

    kf5-kwindowsystem
    qt5-qtbase-gui
    qt5-qtx11extras
    kf5-kidletime
    kf5-sonnet-ui
    dbusmenu-qt5
