    gtk3 firefox dark theme issue

    This has been a problem with all dark themes in the past on just about any desktop environment, but I am hoping there is a solution/wondering if there's a proper place for me to post about this to get it solved. When dark theme is enabled, the text boxes turn out to be dark as well. What I'm seeing right now is that the font has become white font on dark, but I think I see a solution to the problem in OpenSuse Tumbleweed. The dark theme for GTK3 Firefox is perfectly implemented so that the text boxes you type in are white as they should be with black text. Does anyone have a solution to this or point me in the right direction of which is the best place to do a bug report on this?

    I can't get a file to upload, unfortunately it's failing despite meeting size requirements

    Re: gtk3 firefox dark theme issue

    I've been a fan of dark Desktop themes for many years and have always had that issue. What has worked for me for several years now, is to use a .css file in firefox. The file you need to create is:

    ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/chrome/userContent.css

    Where the "*" is your firefox profile. And you may have to create the "chrome" directory. Copy and paste into that file the following:
    Code:
    /*
    * Use this css file to eliminate problems in Firefox
    * when using dark themes that create dark on dark
    * input boxes, selection menus and buttons. Put this
    * in the ../firefox/default/chrome folder or your
    * individual user firefox profile chrome folder.
    */
    input {
    border: 2px inset white;
    background-color: white;
    color: black;
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    }
    textarea {
    border: 2px inset white;
    background-color: white;
    color: black;
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    }
    select {
    border: 2px inset white;
    background-color: white;
    color: black;
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    }
    input[type="radio"],
    input[type="checkbox"] {
    border: 2px inset white ! important;
    background-color: white ! important;
    color: ThreeDFace ! important;
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    }
    *|*::-moz-radio {
    background-color: white;
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    }
    button,
    input[type="reset"],
    input[type="button"],
    input[type="submit"] {
    border: 2px outset white;
    background-color: #eeeeee;
    color: black;
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    }
    body {
    background-color: white;
    color: black;
    display: block;
    margin: 8px;
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    }
    This has worked for me since first installing FC6 and still does up to this day. Trying to type with black text into a radio box with a black background just never works well.
