    where is "dnf --changelog update"?

    There used to be a yum-plugin-changelog package which enabled a "--changelog" option to yum to see the changelog diff for updateable packages...

    Is there an equivalent for dnf?

    Re: where is "dnf --changelog update"?

    There sure is, try dnf updateinfo info.
    I don't think this actually displays the same information as is in embedded in the RPMs, like --changelog seemed to do but it is much more structured.
    One can still view that by using rpm -q --changelog <program> | less on an installed or downloaded RPM.

    https://github.com/rpm-software-management

    If it is not there in the plugins, no man page about it and no dnf --help options you can always use rpm.

    Code:
    [[pinky&brains@secretlayer ~]$ rpm -qa kernel
    kernel-3.14.8-200.fc20.x86_64
    kernel-3.17.7-200.fc20.x86_64
    [[pinky&brains@secretlayer ~]$ rpm -q --changelog kernel-3.17.7-200.fc20.x86_64
    * Tue Dec 16 2014 Justin M. Forbes <jforbes@fedoraproject.org> - 3.17.7-200
    - Linux v3.17.7

    * Tue Dec 16 2014 Josh Boyer <jwboyer@fedoraproject.org>
    - CVE-2014-8559 deadlock due to incorrect usage of rename_lock (rhbz 1159313 1173814)
    - Add patch from Josh Stone to restore var-tracking via Kconfig (rhbz 1126580)
