    Cool Tracker consuming high cpu

Tracker is consuming very high CPU.Upto 70% and causing temperatures to go to dangerous mark of 80+.Using journalctl i was able to find that it happens when images with no metadata are scanned. Why is this so? how to solve it?

You can exclude extensions which should solve the mining of most images when configured right.
Easiest is to use the GUI for this (tracker-ui-tools).

There's also some settings in GNOME Control Center for enabling and disabling indexing, indexing of various different things, and indexing of different locations - go to Settings then 'Search', and the cog icon lets you enable/disable indexing of specific locations.
