FN Brightness keys not working (Sony Vaio)
Hello all,
I recently switched from Ubuntu 13.10 and decided to try Fedora 20. I have carefully installed all the updates but can't figure out how to fix the FN brightness keys issue. I am using a Sony Vaio VPCEB15FX and it comes with an Intel video card.
From the possible solution methods I have tried so far:
1) Reintalling bash -- doesn't work
2) Adding "acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor" to /etc/default/grub doesn't work either.
Weird fact about 2nd method used:
Whether if I run gedit as "sudo" or "beesu" I get this error "Calling Inhibit failed: GDBus".Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnk nown: The name org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files" on the terminal whenever I try to edit "grub".
All my other FN+keys are working properly. I am able to control volume, put the computer to sleep, etc.
My only issue is with the FN+F5 (brightness down) FN+F6 (brightness up) which oddly don't work on Fedora. They work with Ubuntu and Linux Mint.
PLEASE HELP THIS NOOB
