    Re: F20 Firewall Stop

As far as I know, you can't do it from either. To temporarily stop the firewall, you do it this way,
    Code:
    # systemctl stop firewalld.service
To disable it so it doesn't start up at boot,
    Code:
    # systemctl disable firewalld.service

    Re: F20 Firewall Stop

    Thank you!

Unfortunately it didn't solve my problem as it did in earlier versions. Any hint where I can learn more about the new firewall handling?

    Re: F20 Firewall Stop

If stopping or disabling the firewalld didn't solve your problem, then your problem isn't the firewall

But, here is a pretty good write up on firewalld:

    https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FirewallD

What issues are you having? Someone here may already have had the same problem and know what direction to start looking in.

    Re: F20 Firewall Stop

then your problem isn't the firewall
    Looks like

The problem is my wlan scanner. Up to F18 I could make it work (to be found by scanner software like simple scan) by disabling the firewall. Same does work with Ubuntu or Mint. So after installing F20 I'd try the same magic - could do it with your help - but no success.

So I will dive into the docs.

    Re: F20 Firewall Stop

Someone on here can probably help.

It would probably be best to start a new thread, and post what type scanner you have, etc... along with any errors you see, etc...
