technically it's not the weekend yet but here goes anyway. I took this about an hour ago while out for a walk to clear away some cobwebs. It's about 30 minutes walk from my house across the top of the hills. It would take roughly the same again to get to the nearest town by foot.
Looks like those cobwebs you cleard out are now littering the ground
Nice picture.. That is some beautiful countryside.
whoops! yes it's great countryside for walking in. actually they're mole hills, people will do anything to get hills reclassified as mountains round here...
I shovelled snow. We had 40 cm of the stuff. That's about 18 inches high. The city opens up the main thoroughfares and does at least one lane on each residential street. The labor laws here limit a snow clearer to not more than. 16 consecutive hrs of work in 24 hours. These guys drive massive snow removal machines. We don't want to a human casualty or a machine breakdown due to overstressing.

Well, I went swimming, in the rain, in the desert.
The weather is a bit weird here at the moment. The weatherman gave up and simply announced 'unstable weather' for the past few days. So we were getting 100km/h wind, rain and sunshine all in rapid succession.

Have fun!

Like the old joke (though more typically told about Texas)
Mother Nature, you can't put 4 seasons in one week.

Here, hold my beer.
oh nice, can we expect some supplemental wallpaper submissions for Fedora in the future? perhaps a little project for you with the new camera.
by the way, there are some decent Tamron lenses available for Canon cameras which give great performance for a fraction of Canon originals.
I shoveled about one foot of snow, my driveway width for 3 cars, and front stairs of the house.

Found this on my Sunday drive:

The train don't come here no more.
Took a ride on an old friend.
Just spent a week visiting a mate in Byron Bay (north coast of NSW).

Sadly the weather wasn't very cooperative. The wind was on-shore which meant that the views were hazy.
However, we did find the occasional nice spot for lunch - not too bad for winter.

I have many ideas, even some I haven't thought of yet.
