    How to set up a VPN (OpenVPN) with privateinternetaccess.com

    Hello,

    unfortunately there is is no guide of how to install a privateinternetaccess.com account with openVPN.
    Well I tell you what I did:
    Network > + symbol (bottom left) > VPN > OpenVPN > Gateway: nl.privateinternetaccess.com / user / pass / Certificate: ca.cert.

    So now it is in my network box on the top right of my Fedora 19 and there is the "disabled" sign. When I click on this sign, there is about 0.1 sec the "enabled" sign, and then it changes back to "disabled" and I get an error message that the connection is not possible.

    Is anybody aware of privateinternetaccess.com ? I've got a username, a password, a ca.cert file and some .ovpn files. The support doesn't know how to handle this, they only know solutions for Ubuntu
    https://www.privateinternetaccess.co...nvpn_installer
    I guess it's pretty much the same, but how can I replace the "sudo apt-get install openvpn network-manager-openvpn network-manager-openvpn-gnome" line?

    Thanks!

    Re: How to set up a VPN (OpenVPN) with privateinternetaccess.com

    I've managed it!
    I've copied the ca.crt to the /etc/openvpn folder and activated "Use LZO data compression".

    If you've got a problem like this: use this tutorial and begin with #2
    https://www.privateinternetaccess.co..._openvpn_12_04

    This works!

    Re: How to set up a VPN (OpenVPN) with privateinternetaccess.com

    Hi,
    If anyone is looking for the easiest way to install PIA with OpenVPN on Fedora, use the script from Shayne Wang. I just tested it on Fedora 24:

    $ git clone https://github.com/shaynewang/piafedora.git

    $ cd piafedora

    $ chmod +x install_fedora.sh

    $ sudo ./install_fedora.sh
