    livemedia-creator

    Soo,
    after 6 months fiddling around getting my kickstart working with livecd-creator i reached the image size.

    Thinking like... oh its the same package, its almost named the same.. it'll should work the same...
    Nah...

    After the first frustrating tries without help, i've searched for some examples...
    Best i've found: http://www.redhat.com/archives/anaco.../msg00081.html
    Generaly giving an excample they claim to be working...
    Code:
    sudo livemedia-creator \
        --make-iso \
        --iso=/extra/iso/Fedora-16-x86_64-netinst.iso \
        --ks=./fedora-livemedia.ks
    However, i get this:
    Code:
    [simon@nc210 ~]$ sudo livemedia-creator \
        --make-iso \
        --iso=/home/simon/Projects/output/awm.iso \
        --ks=/home/simon/.config/script-tools/projects/awm/ks/awm.ks
    2013-08-04 08:04:59,632: The iso /home/simon/Projects/output/awm.iso is missing.
    Google doesnt help much for livemedia-creator, fedora docs neither
    http://lmgtfy.net/?q=create+iso+live...so+is+missing"

    Somewhere i read passing "--no-virt" should help, didnt

    Re: livemedia-creator

    Not entirely sure what you mean/trying to do (need coffee), but it looks like your trying to add to an already created iso that doesnt exist, or are you trying to create a iso, if so here's the command i use (mileage will be diff)
    sudo livecd-creator -v \
    --config=/usr/share/doc/livecd-tools-18.15/fedora-livecd-desktop.ks \
    --cache=/home/Dave/Public \
    --fslabel=Backup

    Re: livemedia-creator

    I dont, i want to create a spin that is larger than 1.2 gb, livemedia-creator is supposed to assist here.

    Code:
    [simon@nc210 ~]$ sudo livemedia-creator --make-iso --iso=$HOME/Downloads/Fedora-19-i386-netinst.iso --ks=/home/simon/.config/script-tools/projects/awm/ks/awm.ks

    I just want to create an iso file, not set up a virtual machine
    There is no value named "defaul" in the copied kickstart.

    AFAIK one is supposed to use livemedia-creator for files larger than 1 gb.
    As 'announced' in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Anaco...s/ReworkLiveCD and in the link above

    Re: livemedia-creator

    Even with this guide i cant set up the network for the qemu, as i cant use wired.
    Of course i tried it with my wifidevice, but operation is not supportet.
    Script:
    Code:
    #
    #	Variables
    #
    	device=$(ifconfig|grep ^w|awk '{print $1}'|sed s,:,\ ,g)
    	mask=255.255.255.0
    	ip=10.10.10.2
    #
    #	Display
    #
    	[ ! 0 -eq $UID ] && echo "Requires root !!" && exit 1
    	#qemu-ifup
    	echo "Checking if $device is down" "$WORK"
    	/sbin/ifconfig $device down
    	/sbin/ifconfig $device 0.0.0.0 promisc up
    	openvpn --mktun --dev tap0
    	ifconfig tap 0 0.0.0.0 up
    	brctl addbr br0
    	brctl addif br0 $device
    	brctl addif br0 tap0
    	brctl stp br0 off
    	ifconfig br0 $ip netmask $mask
    Output:
    Code:
    # | Checking if wlp5s0  is down                                                                                   [   ∞   ] | #

    tap: ERROR while getting interface flags: Kein passendes Gerät gefunden
    device br0 already exists; can't create bridge with the same name
    can't add wlp5s0 to bridge br0: Operation not supported
    device tap0 is already a member of a bridge; can't enslave it to bridge br0.

    Plus for the scripts of that guide to be working, one should install:
    Code:
    sudo yum install bridge-utils nodejs-tap openvpn
    I leave this for now, too frustrating and figured more important things to do.
