Re: Fedora 18 x64 wont boot

Here are the other 2 screen shots. In image #6 (the first one in this post) select "shell". Now, at the command prompt, typically, you would type the following:
    PHP Code:
    chroot /mnt/sysimage
    grub2
    -install /dev/sda
You will see some output. Hopefully the output will include something telling you that there were no errors. Now you type:
    PHP Code:
    exit
    exit
You will be brought back to the screen seen in shot #6. There, choose to reboot and see if you are offered your choice of Linux and Windows in the boot menu.

I've stated that I haven't done this in quite some time, therefore, I'm not sure what, if anything, has changed. Please be careful. Research before attempting to rescure your system so that you at least have some idea as to what's going on with the rescue environment.

Off to work. Won't be able to help too much since I'll have little access to a Fedora machine with an actual desktop.

    Talking *solved*

Thank you glennzo! Your tutorial pictures were perfect. I did need to download and create a full disk of fedora 18 but after that everything went smoothly. There is jsut one thing, in case you already have the answer, but my grub was reinstalled, but with the same boots (aka still has windows 7). Would you happen to know how to correct this? if not, no worries! Thank you so much for your time!

I don't understand what you want to correct.
