    firmware for wireless

I have a used HP pavillon dv6. it works like new, but wireless does not work. I loaded f17. the connection icon showed wireless disabled. there is a touchable wireless which you could touch to enable wireless port. but I touched but only could change wireless from disabled to firmware missing. any idea?

Download the firmware and put it into the /lib/firmware directory.

Open a terminal window and type:

    lspci

And let's see what wireless device you have.
