Question VLC errors during yum update

Installed the rpmfusion repository after I had installed atrpms repository. I had installed VLC from the atrpms repository and then turn around and run yum update to refresh any packages. Now I get this error about packages when I run yum update with Fedora 16.

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

I might add that I have removed the rpmfusion repository since then thinking that it would clear my errors but I still see the same problem.

    Any ideas?

Re: VLC errors during yum update

    You can try:

    yum clean expire-cache

    then

    yum update

Re: VLC errors during yum update

The atrpms and rpmfusion repos are incompatible with each other. You will have nothing but endless grief having both of them installed and enabled at the same time. The rpmfusion repos are designed to be specifically compatible with Fedora.

I would suggest that you uninstall every package you installed from atrpms and then disable the atrmps repo.Tthen re-install the packages from rpmfusion. You can then temporarily enable the atrms repo to grab any packages that aren't available either from Fedora or rpmfusion.

You can quickly identify which atrpms packages you have installed with this code:
    Code:
rpm -qa --qf "%{name}-%{version}.%{arch}\t%{vendor}\n" | grep ATrpms
