Stop Power Management adjusting my screen brightness

I have Fedora 15 gnome 3 installed on my new laptop. When my system runs on battery my power management keeps changing my screen brightness. It keeps dimming my backlight. In the GUI of Power Management I cant find any option to change this setting. How can I do that through Command Line

    easy way..

    install dconf-editor

    [code]
    yum install dconf dconf-editor
    [code]

    then run it.

In the left hand pane, go to org-->gnome-->power-manager

uncheck the option "backlight-battery-reduce" and make sure that brightness-dim-battery is set to 100 (default is 50 (half brightness))

    Edit:
You probably need to restart gnome after the change.

How about for Xfce? I'm not using Gnome.

do you have the xfce power manager installed?

    for a terminal screen:
    Code:
    su -
    (root password)

    yum install xfce4-power-manager
