    Clear all notifications in Gnome 3

    So I opened firefox and it restored some ~15 windows I had open last time I rebooted. The problem is that for each window it opened it gave me a notification that it's ready, and now they won't go away. I know that I could simply remove them one by one, but that's a bit tedious and I really want to know if there's a faster way to clear all notifications when I'm not intending to look at any of them.

    Here's what's happening at the bottom of my screen:

    I just find it really annoying because it pops up every time I accidentally touch the bottom edge of the desktop.

    The GNOME Shell does not currently have a way to clear all notifications. ou have to clear them individually.

    I realise you've probably already got a solution to this, given it's been a few months, but this thread came up first on Google when I was searching on how to clear out all the notifications on the message tray in Gnome 3.

    So for anyone else who comes across this on Google, restarting the shell clears them all out:

    alt-f2
    r
    <return>

    This resets the shell and everything is clean again
