    Pictures Folder for Screensaver

System>Preferences>Screensaver presents me with options Blank, Random, Cosmos, Floating Fedora Bubbles, Floating Feet, Pictures Folder and Pop Art Squares. They are complete definitions except for Pictures Folder but I cannot see how to complete the definition. Either there is a standard location for me to place my pictures or a variable in which I can nominate my location but I cannot see a control for either of these. Am I missing something obvious?

In your user folder there is an already prepared "Pictures" folder. Anything you place in there will be used by that particular screensaver.

Is it possible to have the same "screen saver" in Gnome 3, aka F16?

    Thanks,

I don't think so. I'm not yet on F!6 but think I read somewhere that Gnome 3 had dropped support of screensavers for various reasons including that they encourage wastage of energy.
That must have been in the F16 Release Notes but I can't quote you chapter & verse I'm afraid.
