GIMP: How to print the grid on an image?

How can I print an image from GIMP and have the grid that Gimp generates print-out on the image?

I could preview in GIMP and take a screenshot of the captured window, in order to print and annotate accordingly.

    See attachments.

    Hope this helps.

I don't think there is a way to add the overlay grid to the image but you can render an identical grid:
    Filters > Render > Pattern > Grid

Re: GIMP: How to print the grid on an image?

    old thread but....
    why use gimp ?
    Gmic works
    Code:
    gmic gray.jpg -grid 64,64 -o gray.line.png
G'Mic has replaced Imagemagick for me
it works in 32bit floating point space so calculations are lossless
    8,16,and 32 bit/layer gray and RGB ,lab,labq,xyz ,... colorspace

Re: GIMP: How to print the grid on an image?

use the Grid plugin to render a grid very similar to the image grid.

Do not use Gimp for printing, use whatever image editing software comes with the printer. Usually some cut-down stuff that will open a png from Gimp.

I have a XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro Art Tablet with Screen and use it in gimp for drawing and photo editing . drawing directly on screen is cool! Gimp is free and I don't need anything better.
