I configured the autoexec.cfg, but I seem to be unable to autodownload maps from a server, while I can autodownload them in Mac. Can anyone help me set that up, or tell me what's wrong?

I did a:
and launched it. The autodownloader came up and downloaded without issue. No configuration was necessary. Maybe you have a networking issue?Code:$ yum install urbanterror
EDIT: I think I misunderstood. Are you talking about downloading missing maps from a server while in game?

Don't use any of my solutions on working computers or near small children.
If you're talking about not being able to auto-download custom maps, I actually solved that problem the other day - after searching in vain for days.
The solution was to open up ~/.q3a/q3ut4/q3config.cfg. Then find the line:
This was already set for me, but the line under it read:Code:seta cl_autodownload "1"
I don't know why this was the default, but changing that 0 to a 1 fixed the problem. I can now autodownload custom maps from the servers.Code:seta cl_allowdownload "0"
Hope that helps.
Simian man, that fixed that wonderfully. I wonder why that wouldn't be the default. On a side note, what keyboard shortcut do you use to move the cursor out of a game. I ussualy im on skype while playing. Thank You, you saved me much trouble

Hi,
I'm the Fedora quake3 and urbanterror wrapper script maintainer. I've modified the wrapper script to set cl_allowdownload to 1 by default.
If you encounter any other issues with urban terror please file a bug in bugzilla against component quake3.
Thanks & Regards,
Hans
