    unmount

    I don't seem to have an unmount command anywhere and I can't find one using locate either

    It's called "umount" , not "unmount".

    its pronounce un-mount but its written as umount i had same problem when i first learn how to use mount and umount commands

    Not sure why it lacks an n, but it has for a long time now. From the man page:
    HISTORY
    A umount command appeared in Version 6 AT&T UNIX.
