    Thanksgiving Weekend Drive

    Here's another couple of views of Autumn in Texas.

    Morning at the lake.



    In the rising sunbeams



    Early morning company



    Duck hunting.



    Crook Lake, yesterday.



    The tree in my neighbor's front yard, about ten minutes ago.



    And another shot of the same tree. Different angle.



    Dunno where we're gonna go at the crack of dawn tomorrow ... but it really doesn't matter. We probably won't decide until we're already most of the way there. The serendipity of the road chosen and then getting someplace you haven't been before is most of the fun anyway.

    OK. The tree above with all the marvelous colors is actually an invasive species from China called the Bradford Ornamental Pear.

    Sure is pretty for being a so-called pest.
