Dumb! Really dumb! But lotsa fun.

Once in a while ... even a full grown (and then some) supposed adult can do something really stupid -- at exactly the wrong time -- and still enjoy it.

And while you guys were here slaving away last evening shooting spammers, I was out doing something really, really dumb.

    Uhm ... So ... about that ...

    ...

... Being as how you guys are really good friends ...

    ...

... and good friends are always ready and willing to help out other good friends ...

    ...

    Uhm ...

    ...

    Uh ...

    ...

Anybody wanna co-sign the loan for me? <....>

Nice truck Dan. Make sure that when you're shooting at the spammers that you don't miss. Wouldn't want to hit that nice truck now. Is it an '08? Does it have a Hemi?

Nope. '05. It's got the little v-6. (3.7l / 225 c.i.) Gas has gone down for now ... but it could get back to where it was oh-so-easy, and that's way too expensive for my tastes. So the little six it is. I'm not in such a hurry anymore that I'm willing to outrun the safety range of my wallet. <....>

While I'd love to have a toy with 600 HP I'm content to run around in my '02 Focus. Pretty good mileage and it's fast enough on the highway for me. My days of burning rubber have passed.

I thought I was being dumb spending $400 on a netbook that I don't really need.

I guess you don't mean the dumb thing was taking pictures of the truck and the loan is for the film.

    I should have said....
Congratulations. I really do know the feeling of sometimes spending more than you can afford, and even though you might regret it a bit, it's something that makes you happy.
That makes it worthwhile, happiness can be hard to find.

Enjoy it and keep it clean. I expect a photo in a year to see that it looks just as nice as it does now.

    Morning, Scott.

Yeah. Film is just about a museum piece around here. I haven't shot anything with the Nikon in two years. Not only cost, but the quality of film has fallen off so badly that it just isn't worth it. (All DX coded film is actually ISO-800 now. They just code the camera to adjust.)

Baring anything unforeseen, it should look pretty much the same it does now. I've gotten pretty grandmotherly about my driving habits these days.

(Except every once in a while in the Intrepid. I test drove a Jaguar {XJ12C} the other day, and was quite surprised to discover that my 1996, chee-pazz, Detroit built, Dodge 4 door, 150,000 mile sedan, actually out-performs it. <....> {It's got the 32 valve 3.5l V-6} )

It's gonna work for a living, though. So it's a safe bet the bed will have some stains, dirt, debris, scratches and dings in it.

I saw this truck in the Christmas loot thread, I didn't realize if you were joking or not.

    I envy you man! I love this truck. 600HP 4.7 L.....

    Edit:

Can we get a picture of what is under the hood?

Sadly, you'd be disappointed. All joking aside, we went very conservative on the power plant. See post #3.
