Question Change boot to text mode from graphic mode

    Newbie here

How do you change the start up to boot to text mode ony instead the GUI login?

My fedora 2 is on an old 500 Mhz 256 MB machine and it's slow. I just want to run a web server with php and mysql.

This has been asked numerous times in this forum, so searching would have gotten you a faster answer, but I will answer it for you:

If you want to use text mode only(console without X11) change in file /etc/inittab line:

    id:5:initdefault: to: id:3:initdefault:
