    How to recover deleted files?

    Hi Folks,

I have been trying to install the latest Fedora Directory Server, but unfortunately, I keep on getting some errors with it, it was not able to start properly, so I decided to redo the install from scratch, or it would complain about ports. So I wanted to delete everything on the file system which had dirsrv folder and wound up deleting the following folders:

    rm -rf /usr/share/dirsrv
    rm -rf /usr/lib64/dirsrv
    rm -rf /etc/rc.d/init.d/dirsrv
    /etc/sysconfig/dirsrv -- notice I didn't delete this folder
    rm -rf /var/run/dirsrv
    rm -rf /var/log/dirsrv
    rm -rf /var/lib/dirsrv
    rm -rf /var/cache/yum/dirsrv

Then I removed the fedora-ds package through yum and installed it again. But now, everytime I run, the script complains about the file can not be found. Can someone please tell me where I can get this file from, or a way to recover my files.

I have tried everything, reinstall the perl lib and a lot. Not sure where this file came from in the first place and how to install it. Searched on the internet as well.

Lesson learned: I will never use rm -rf again. instead will rename my folders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
