OpenOffice Base x86_64 broken?
I am running Fedora 7 with all updates.
I tried to open a database file that contains account and password information using OpenOffice Base on my 64 bit system. It would not open, and instead went to a dialog to recover the data.
I copied the file to a memory stick and to my laptop running Fedora 7 32 bit and OpenOffice 32 bit, and it opened just fine, so the problem does not appear to be with the file, but with OO Base, 64 bit.
I went to Bugzilla and contributed my problem to this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=325521
It does not not seem to have anything to do with the version of Java, but with oobase itself.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, please add to the bug report so it can be fixed.

It is fixed with the latest update to OpenOffice 2.3.0-6.4.fc7.
See this bugzilla topic:
[Bug 325521] oobase broken in latest update (2.2.1.18-2) against jre-1.6.0
