I think I might be able to send a fax. Yippee!

I have efax-gtk installed. They had an rpm on the web site and it looks like it worked OK.

After resigning myself to having to chmod 0660 /dev/ttyS0 every time I reboot to get permission to use the modem it looks like it might work OK.

Efax-gtk says it can be used to similarly to a print driver, like the Windows fax service works. It uses a “socket” 9900 I opened this port up in the firewall and followed the instructions in the README but no fax shows up in what they call the “socket list” Any hints as to how to find some clues as to why my print jobs will not go through the “socket”? I tried “man socket” ah, huh?

Thank You,
Pat Jr.
