    wireless wifi drivers?

    hej, i just installed fedora core 6.

    But i can't install the wirless drivers. i even can't find a program to use wireless devices.

    I used ubuntu before, and there eveything was working perfect from the beginning.

    can somboddy help me?

    some extra information, i am using a dell lattitude D505, but i don't know what netwerk card i am using.

    in a terminal, post the output of
    $ /sbin/lspci
    then it can be determined what hardware you have in your D505.

    Dell True Mobile 1400, which is a BROADCOM chip. Broadcom is one of those manufacturers that won't make a linux driver and won't release their chip specifications to enable anyone to develop opensource drivers. Fortunately, you can use the WINSUCKS drivers through NDISWRAPPER on broadcom chips.

    If you can ever get your hands on an ATHEROS card, jump on it because you'll be able to use MADWIFI.

    i guess mine didnt work cause i dont havea pci card plugged into my lappy, been trying to use the usb 2.0 wifi stick by Xterasys

    h*klown, if you want similar output as /sbin/lspci try /sbin/lsusb. Then your network card should show up.
