    vino-server

    Hello,
I noticed a process called vino-server that has been sucking up a lot of resources on my FC5 pc. From what I read this has to do with vnc. Anyone know how how to fix this. There are no remote session open at this time. Let me know if you can help.
    Thanks,

    Chris.

I might have the same problem. Everytime I do a portscan with nmapfe, xvnc goes crazy. Is that the same for you?

    you can do
    /etc/init.d/vncserver off
and chkconfig vncserver off (to turn off even after reboot)
to turn remote desktop sharing off. vncserver is associated with remote desktop in gnome - if you have activated that, vncserver will be on - I remember an FC5 bug where it would use up resources like crazy.
