macbook: resized hfs+ partion, no boot!

I resized my hfs+ osx partition with qtparted in fedora core. Everything completed successfully, but when I restarted rEFIt was gone and now I get a blinking folder with a question mark. Using a live cd I can still read all the partitions just fine, but somehow the boot record (or wahtever you call it for macs) is all messed up. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks.

Apple's Disk Utility won't even recognize the HFS+ partition :/
