no I looked it up previously the first time I posted in this thread. I believe it has been put out to pasture.

    Re: Laptops running Fedora report

Model: ASUS X552L (BIOS reported as X550D, some marketed as X552LD)

iGPU: Intel HD Graphics 4400 (VGA port works fine, HDMI not yet tested but assumes working)

dGPU: NVIDIA GeForce 820M (nouveau not yet support Fermi reclocking as of time posted, go Bumblebee for gaming)

    Network: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411? (ok)

WIFI: Mediatek / Ralink RT3290 (ok) (past)
WIFI: Intel 7260N Single Band (ok, but hotspotting may cause some kernel errors, bad driver probably)

Bluetooth: (no Bluetooth driver for RT3290) (past)
    Bluetooth: (ok w/ Intel 7260N)

    Webcam: Chicony Electronics? (ok)

    Touchpad: (ok)

Hotkeys: (ok since 4.10, previously need acpi_osi=! "acpi_osi=Windows 2001" to have the ACPI in fallback route, see DSDT page in Archlinux Wiki for howto)

    Display: (ok)

Suspend on Disk: (ok but requires adding kernel parameter resume=/path/to/swap to work)

Suspend on RAM: (same as above)

Does NOT support HybridSleep, need to use Hibernate instead or don't use at all

    Comments:
If your battery sucks, consider buying a new battery because your battery is old and small capacity now...
DVD writer not working? Clean the drive and the DVD to its cleanest state before consider replacing both...

Comments: This is an almost 10 year old machine I recently salvaged and, aside from the dead battery, some issue with the volume (it's a physical control) that gets changed for no apparent reason, and the obvious lack of HD playback capabilities, it performs beautifully. Having been put away for many years also helped its aesthetics which now contribute to make it look like a "classic".

    480GB M.2, 480GB SSD.
