    Google Earth with XGL

    In order to run 3D applications with XGL like Google Earth and most games, you must follow this tutorial:
    http://www.compiz.net/viewtopic.php?id=175

    Otherwise your app will be running without 3D acceleration and will probably be very slow.

    Just thought I'd try and share the knowledge

    Sorry, I searched for a bit, can't seem to find it. I'd ask on one of the compiz or beryl sites (whichever you are using).

    Is this also true in AIGLX/Beryl? I notice a lot slower performance, but 3D support doesn't seem to be gone entirely.
