    I'm using Fedora as a desktop but I do have a set of actual Redhat 5.2 install disks somewhere. If I remember correctly they are floppy disks.

    You can add any repository and install any single package. You need not install all the packages offered by the repository. Is that what you mean?

    I've been using Fedora since Fedora Core 1 and have always used EXT partitions, so it must be OK to do so.

    Try adding the "vers=2.0". In my /etc/fstab I have one for my NAS



    //10.0.0.31/share/ /mnt/buffalo cifs vers=2.0, and whatever else you need here

    There is no ccrma repo for Fedora 28 hence the DNF failure. You will have to wait to see if they put one up.

    You could hard code the repo file on your computer to point to the Fedora 27 repo...

    Delete the packages from remi and permanently disable the remi repo. Try your dnf operation again.

    Afterwards, anytime you need a package from the remi repo enable it on a one time basis.

    Slackware. Yep, I've taken the dive, mostly out of boredom. Slackware 14.2 with KDE is really nice. That from someone who has always had a distaste for KDE.I really like this!
