It seems to be used on Wayland and Xorg.

I was thinking of the section 'OSS stack' under 'Limitations'.
However, if you are having problems with the installer, you may have to blacklist the nouveau kernel driver on the kernel command line...

right click->Profiles->Profile Preferences->General->Initial terminal size:

I have a slightly newer card and have always used nouveau. However, I ran into an issue with a standard Workstation install. F26 now uses the modesetting xserver driver in place of the nouveau...

fdisk needs to be run as root. IIRC there is no password set for root on the Live DVD so you just do:

$ su -
# fdisk -l

Then you can mount the partitions on the real disks that fdisk lists and...

Ah! I think you have resolved the issue, Kobuck.
However, I am curious as to why the OP thought he might need additional software to write a Live iso image to a DVD.

It is not at all clear what you would like to do.

If you are going to
then you will need a DVD drive capable of writing. The Live iso will not fit on a CD.

If you meant install from the iso...

I know nothing about Windows 10 but, if this is a UEFI based machine, there must be an EFI System Partition (ESP) formatted as FAT.
You should probably use the 'Physical View' to get a true picture...

Did you try using the new Blivet partitioning tool:

It may give you more of a clue of how Anaconda thinks the disk is partitioned.
