I am so glad I don't use gnome 3 then lol. I use xfce because I don't care much about graphics and because I wanted a lightweight version of it. But now it would appear I have a new reason to avoid...

I wanted to set the settings as high as possible on security. (Ie settings for the paranoid.)

maybe you misunderstood, the resolution works, the screen looks mostly normal, (when logged into the desktop part.)

When it boots up to the first login part... it shows words instead of the lock...

I don't know what happened but reinstalling fedora actually did the trick.

for some reason, my display is set to 0 in the settings editor on everything. yet it looks perfectly fine when you boot it up into the desktop area of it.
I am using xfce 32 bit. (fedora obviously...
