Hi i would like to get mp3s working on noatun and other kde players....i found a forum topic that discusses this...and it supplies a link to an rpm however the link doesnt work and the websites i found on google have a long involved process for getting mp3s working...does anyone know how i can get mp3s working on kde without having to sell my soul to the devil?

an easy way would be go to rpm.livna.org and get the kdemultimedia-extras package this will get mp3 playing in noaton and your embedded player, or you could get the SRPM for kdemultimedia and go throught eh spec file enable mpeg support and rebuild it, there is also a mp3 plugin for k3b at livna if your interested
