Hi all,

I installed mplayer in my FC4 and I can't find where it was installed. It is also not listed in the applications menu.

Could someone help me?

Thanks.

I may be having DNS issues for some reason. Try these.

AFAIK FC4 dosen't include mplayer by default. There's another repository "livna" which provide well packaged mplayer, google livna you'll find it.

I think that is were I've installed. I will give it a try. Another question about MPlayer. Does is support TV tuner cards?

Thanks,

Fabio

I've never used Mplayer for TV cards, however that does not mean it does not work. I prefer to use TV Time (http://tvtime.sourceforge.net/)

Yes, Mplayer is a very good player supports almost everything.
As far as i know Its usually in the home dir. Or at least it has a dir in the home dir.

I hope u like NC / MC / TotalCommander. then u do just

start mc
go to file u want to see

./mplayer -fs alt-enter-press

-fs is for full screen

As for Tv i use Mythtv, and/or xine.

If u have a DVB card working properly this may work:
./mplayer -fs dvb://7

I think u may need a channels.conf for this.
Anyway, Xine knows the DVB protocoll maybe better, so u can zap there better.

On the other hand MythTV works on LAN, so i prefer it over xine.
