Hi,

I have tried to make a .pdf from .tex using pdflatex, unfortunately some mathemaical formulas ( \sum or \int etc.) does not seem in the .pdf file. I have tried to use packages (amsmath, amsfonts, amssymb, times), however it can not help. I dont understand the problem, because I have found some example file on the net, which is the same as mine, they works but my one not.

ex.tex:

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{amsmath}
\usepackage{indentfirst}
\begin{document}
The formula:
\(
\int_{a}^{b} f(x)dx, \sum_{i}.
\)
The end.
\end{document}

With latex ex.tex the dvi is ok, with pdftex ex.tex is not.

Thanks for responding..
I have found that the problem was about the pdf viewer (GNOME Pdf Viewer 0.110),
it is more than interesting !? :(
So my older version is ok.
